If you will be away from Gustavus from October 19 through November 3, you will need to vote absentee.
You may be able to vote in person at another polling station or early voting location. Bring your ID!
Preferred: October 19-November 2: Go to an Early & Absentee In-Person Voting Locations that has our HD3 Ballot.
November 3: Vote at any polling place 7 am to 8 pm. You may have to vote a questioned or provisional ballot, and you may not be able to vote for our district's representative and judges because the polling place won't have a House District 3 ballot unless you are at one of the HD03 polling places in Juneau, Haines, Klukwan, or Skagway, or certain Anchorage voting centers.
Apply. Online and paper applications for absentee ballots are available on the Division of Election's website or at City Hall. Apply now. Ballots will be mailed starting approximately October 9. The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is October 24.Â
Receive your ballot by mail or (starting October 19) download it online.
Return your ballot by mail, or fax, or in-person at an Alaska voting location.
If you return it by mail, send it ASAP but have it postmarked no later than November 3. Have it hand-cancelled at the postal counter.
If you return it by fax, you give up some of your privacy protection; election workers will be able to see how you voted.
If you return it to a voting location, do so by 8 pm on November 3.
