Who and Where we are

We are an informal, unincorporated association mainly of, by, and for residents of Gustavus, Alaska, but we are open to all, and many of our actions and concerns are broader than our local community.

In 2026, we elected to get slightly more organized by adopting a charter that sets forth our values, purpose, responsibilities, and (still loose) structure. We elected a 5-member steering committee that meets monthly.

We also elected to register as a local Indivisible group.

Background

We first got together to hold a local demonstration as part of the 2017 Women's March. We retain our pro-democracy focus, while also aspiring to educate and build community.
